Mental Health Awareness Week is 13th – 19th May
Mental Health Awareness week is run by the Mental Health Foundation and the theme for 2019 is Body Image.
Since 2001 the Mental Health Foundation has covered many topics such as Stress, Relationships, Loneliness, and Suicide.
During Mental Health Awareness Week findings will be released from the largest survey completed across the UK and will evidence the profound Implications Body Image has on are mental health and physical health.
Mental Illness is one of the major health challenges especially in Scotland. and
- One in three people in Scotland will suffer a mental health problem.
- Scotland has the highest suicide rate in the UK after Northern Ireland.
- Two people will die every day in Scotland by suicide
CSM Office staff are getting involved and showing their support by wearing Green Ribbon Pins.
The Green Ribbon is the International symbol for Mental Health Awareness. All proceeds fund the life changing work as a UK charity dedicated to mental health
